Autumn is my favorite season. The leaves change color, the air turns cooler, and pumpkin-flavored everything starts appearing everywhere. There’s also something about the fall season that just feels so cozy and special. And what better way to celebrate autumn than by reading books about it? fletcher and the falling leaves

Change is scary, especially for a baby fox named Fletcher who has never experienced the changing of the seasons. In Fletcher and the Falling Leaves by Julia Rawlinson, the little fox notices the world has changed colors, and as the leaves start to fall from the tree, he worries. Though he tries with all of his might to save the leaves, the wind and animals steal them away. But as the last leaf falls, Fletcher discovers change isn’t so scary after all. In fact, there’s beauty in every season.

Fall Mixed up by Bob Raczka
Fall Books for Preschoolers
Our last preschool book about fall was Fall Mixed Up by Robert Raczka. We saved this one for last because it is a silly book about how the pumpkins turn red and the apples turn orange in the fall, and everything is mixed up. I love how this is a fun way for the kiddos to share all that they have learned about the wonderful season of fall.
